Wellington Regional Council - NRP Schedule C1 Nga Hapu o Otaki, Sites of significance identified by mana whenua iwi in the greater Wellington region and reported under contract to Greater Wellington Regional Council, listed under Schedule C1: Sites of significance to Ngā Hapū o Ōtaki. Sites of significance were mapped for Schedule C of the Natural Resources Plan for the Wellington Region - Te Tikanga Taiao o Te Upoko o Te Ika a Maui, and pertaining to the definition of Category 1 surface water body, Policy P44: Protection and restoration of sites with significant mana whenua values; Policy P45: Managing adverse effects on sites with significant mana whenua values; and Rule R97: Access to beds of surface water bodies by livestock – permitted activity.
