Wellington Regional Council - NRP Schedule C5 Wairarapa Iwi, Sites of significance identified by mana whenua iwi in the greater Wellington region and reported under contract to Greater Wellington Regional Council, listed under Schedule C5: Sites of significance to Rangitāne o Wairarapa & Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa. Sites of significance were mapped for Schedule C of the Proposed Natural Resources Plan for the Wellington Region 2015 - Te Tikanga Taiao o Te Upoko o Te Ika a Maui, and pertaining to the definition of Category 1 surface water body, Policy P44: Protection and restoration of sites with significant mana whenua values; Policy P45: Managing adverse effects on sites with significant mana whenua values; and Rule R97: Access to beds of surface water bodies by livestock – permitted activity.
